Framed units can offer a traditional or contemporary style for your handmade kitchen.  The doors sit inset into the frame with visible hinges.  Normally the frame will be 40mm wide at the top, bottom and each side.  Drawers and appliances will normally be separated by a 40mm separator although this is optional.

A number of options are shown below.  We can make most units at any width at no extra cost.  If you do not see a unit that you are looking for then we would be delighted to quote you for it.

Base units

Base units have a solid backing to them.  Where a significant amount of access to services is needed then the sink unit type may be more appropriate although the solid backing can be cut out for access to services.

BY - Framed base unit, single door with a shelf. Left or right hinge.

BY1D - Framed base unit, single door with shelf and hi-line drawer. Left or right hinge.

BZ - Framed base unit, double door with a shelf.

BZ2D - Framed base unit, double door with a shelf and two hi-line drawers.

BZ1D - Framed base unit, double door with a shelf and single hi-line drawer.

Sink units

Sink units are the same as normal base units but the drawers are non-working false drawer fronts. 

If you would prefer a blanking plate on the inside of the cabinet to hide the sink then we can do that too!

SY1D - Framed sink base unit with single door, shelf and hi-line fixed non-working drawer.

SZ2D - Framed sink base unit with double doors, shelf and two fixed non-working drawers.

SZ1D - Framed sink base unit with double doors, shelf and single fixed non-working drawer.

SZV - Framed low sink base unit with double doors and shelf to cater for butler sink or similar.  Sink and tap not included.  Often will require end panel on side if there is an appliance on the side and/or if supporting heavy worksurface.

SZVU - Framed low sink base unit with double doors and shelf to cater for butler sink or similar.  Sink and tap not included.  Unlike the previous unit this integrated end panels and frames either side of the sink.  This helps support heavy worktops and also is an excellent choice when a dishwasher will be installed next to the sink.

Drawer base units

Drawer base units provide excellent storage and we can make them in most configurations even if you do not see them in the following illustrations.  The drawer mechanisms are high quality, fully extending with a soft self-closing mechanism.

2P - Base drawer unit with two deep pan drawers.

2P1D - Base drawer unit with two deep pan drawers and a single drawer at the top.

3D - Base drawer unit with three drawers of equal size.

1P3D - Base drawer unit with single pan drawer at bottom with three drawers above.

4D - Base drawer unit with four drawers of equal size.  This unit also looks nice without the 40mm frame separators.

5D - Base drawer unit with five drawers of equal size.  This unit will only work without the 40mm frame separators between the drawers.

Corner base units

There are a number of options to ensure that tricky corners spaces are accessible.  Carousels and magic corners are available to be integrated into the corner cabinets to maximise valuable storage space.

C-L - Corner base unit with shelf and left hand door.  (Real unit has 50mm recess at right hand side of unit).  50mm corner post also included to ensure adequate clearance to adjacent unit.

C-R - Corner base unit with shelf and right hand door.  (Real unit has 50mm recess at left hand side of unit). 50mm corner post also included to ensure adequate clearance to adjacent unit.

BO - Framed open base unit.  Ideal for trays and storage.

B2X1D - Framed base unit with two wicker baskets and single drawer above.  The wicker baskets are on wooden runners to increase accessibility.

B3X - Framed base unit with three wicker baskets. The wicker baskets are on wooden runners to increase accessibility.

B2N - Framed base unit with base mounted two tier pullout larder unit.  (Pullout not shown)

B3N - Framed base unit with base mounted three tier pullout larder unit. (Pullout not shown)

I - Integrated appliance housing including frame and door.  Frame and door are one piece.  (No carcass)

Y - Integrated appliance housing including door only.  (No frame and no carcass)

I-DW - Semi-integrated appliance housing including door only.  (No frame, no carcass and dishwasher not included!)

Framed Wall units

Wall units can be any height, but small units are generally at 575mm high, medium are 720mm high and tall are 900mm high.  Wall units have a standard depth of 320mm including 20mm service gap and 20mm door/frame depth.  The wall units have hidden wall hangers that fit in the services gap.

Dresser units are designed to sit on the work surface and will have a depth of 320mm unless a greater depth is specified.

WY - Framed wall unit with single door and two shelves.

WZ - Framed wall unit with double doors and two shelves.

Wy - Framed wall unit with glazed single door and shelves.  Glazed doors can be simple or panelled, leaded or even use stained glass.  Shelf/ves are also glazed.  These cabinets can also have integrated lights.

Wz - Framed wall unit with double glazed doors and shelves.  Glazed doors can be simple or panelled, leaded or even use stained glass. Shelf/ves are also glazed. These cabinets can also have integrated lights.

WO - Framed open wall unit.

WR - Framed wall unit with plate rack at bottom.

K1DY - Framed dresser unit (sits on worktop) with single door, two shelves and a drawer at the bottom. (Note drawer is free running i.e. without runners).

WA - Extractor housings can be made to different styles, sizes and configurations to match your kitchen and extractor design.

Tall units

Tall units offer a stylish way of storing items and housing appliances.  The units here are just examples of some configurations, but we can build configurations to your specification.

Please note that because these units are framed, the appliance sits within the frame.  Usually the appliance will be 600mm wide and the frame 40mm wide each side making the total width of the unit 680mm.

Mid-height units

The mid-height units can raise appliances to a more workable height without being as imposing as the tall units.  They look great with a length of worktop on top.
