L.G. In Wimbledon was having an extensive extension to her house including a new kitchen dining room. Recommended by a friend she contacted us to help her with her design. Their room was going to be long and thin and so we decided to create a number of break fronts along the long section so that it would create a more interesting look. Also at the end of the run we needed a bit more space around the table so the last “sideboard” section was further reduced in depth.

We also created a custom mantle which was attached to the fake chimney that houses an extractor. The Rangemaster cooker is brought proud so that a granite shelf could be installed behind.

By avoiding the temptation of running wall cabinets into the dining area, the room keeps its feeling of space and light around the dining table.  Ample storage is provided with the drawers either side of the range and by using the large free standing dresser.

The corner sink is housed under the window in the corner of the room with a dishwasher adjacent to it.

The kitchen is painted in Paint Library Slate V with the free standing dresser painted in a brave Paint Library Plum Brandy.
