Customer Testimonials

I am so pleased with it, even though it is not in place yet. I have never had anything made for me before (except my wedding dress!) and I am so chuffed with it. I have just been sitting inside the larder with a glass of wine (it seemed sturdy enough to take my weight!) and have been admiring the woodwork

I love it - thank you. And I have been really impressed with the after care your chaps have shown us, so thank you all round for that.

Really chuffed. Feel free to put together a testimonial of your choosing - I'd be happy to put my name to it. [We do not make up testimonials but thanks anyway Andy!]

We are really pleased with the end result. Its definitely the showpiece of the house.

I have no doubt that the overall look of the kitchen/family room area was a key factor in selling the house so quickly.

Good points:

1) Value for money - all wood, at a good price
2) Build quality generally very good
3) The oiled ply interior is excellent - compared to melamine
4) Lighting transformer void worked well
5) Good service/ pleasant to deal with

We looked at other kitchen unit providers and were very disappointed with the general standard of craftsmanship and materials used within our budget range. We were feeling quite despondent and then came across Higham Furniture on the web. We went to visit the factory in Hampshire and were very impressed with the standard of work.  Tim Higham took great lengths to ensure we got what we wanted and we now have a lovely and unique hand painted kitchen.  What is more it looks built to last.

We worked with Tim for a number of months to come up with the right design for our new kitchen. Throughout, he was helpful, flexible and always on hand. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with him and his team, especially the ever-brilliant Tony.

We can happily say that he was our most reliable contractor on a long and protracted build and would thoroughly recommend him. Tim also provided two bathroom cabinets which have worked beautifully as thefinishing pieces in both rooms.

Our new kitchen is pride of place in our home and this is down to the quality of work and craftsmanship of Higham Furniture.

It is hard to find words to express our appreciation for the quality of work we have experienced with Higham Furniture in the production of our new kitchen.

It goes without saying that the experience from start to finish was a joy, even the difficult job of turning our mantle design into reality was flawless.

If we had a ? for each "wow" we have had from visitors to our house I'd be very rich, even when we come back from holiday ourselves and we walk into the kitchen, it still takes us by surprise how comfortable everything sits together and what a good job Tim and his team did.

...thank you for the most awesome kitchen ever. I hope to be able to put some work your way.. but i suspect you could put your prices up dramatically seeing the quality of your work and knowing what others are charging for similar stuff - so i'm just glad i got in there in time!

It was a pleasure to have had Higham Furniture to make and install my bespoke kitchen.  The craftsmanship and finish is more than I could ever dreamed of. They were polite, very professional and the finished product is simply stunning.

We are delighted with our new kitchen. I would like to thank you all for the innovative design which solved the particular problems we had with a slightly narrow room. The build quality of the units is excellent and we are particularly pleased with the wood you suggested and the finish achieved with it. Your colleague who installed the units completed the job to the highest standard. The kitchen is the hub of our home and we now have a unique room which gives us enormous pleasure. I would highly recommend a Higham Kitchen to everyone!

We chose Higham as a supplier for our kitchen and were extremely pleased with not only the finished product but the whole customer service that Tim and his team provided. The attention to detail both in the planning and the build of the kitchen were second to none and they come with the very highest recommendation. A pleasure to deal with from start to finish!

Installation went very smoothly and we're delighted with our kitchen.... We were very impressed with the service you gave us, particularly the willingness and flexibility you offered in coming to Salisbury to assist with the design and also the delivery. We found you not only professional and friendly, but you gave us some honest advice that probably meant we ended up spending less than we could have done! To top it off, the quality of the kitchen is fantastic, particularly given the reasonable price we
paid. The kitchen is now the proud centre-piece of our new home.

Your kitchen units are excellent and thank you for meeting the timescales and all your advice.  No doubt we will knock on your "web" door again if we move home and need a new kitchen.

(Tim) Higham couldn’t have been more helpful, nothing seemed to be too much trouble – it made ordering a bespoke kitchen on the internet easier than dealing with a showroom.;

We are very pleased with our handmade kitchen, it was really rewarding to design something from scratch and be able to use incorporate our wonderful old stoneglazed sink into the design as well as have overhead cupboards made in a non-standard size to suit the design of our new extension…..the only problem was choosing the final paint colour!

As we have said all along we are really pleased with the design, craftsmanship & your lovely manner towards us. Any time you would like to show your work, write references etc. we would be only too pleased although I rather feel you are doing well anyway!

The kitchen space in my flat is a bit unusual, and Higham Furniture were able to build custom cabinets which helped us take full advantage of the available space.  They had a very competitive price, and the workman ship was superb -- things were finished properly and completely.

We found the young company on Google rather than following a personal recommendation or ad in a magazine. The website was easy to look at with transparent pricing and no frills. Tim's response to initial enquiry was reassuringly immediate. We were told we could not be shown an actual kitchen in London in the time we had available, and that any portable samples of cabinets were not an option. We were, however, invited to visit the workshop, which we did, one sunny Saturday morning. 'It would have been difficult to set it up just for a day.' my husband sharply observed after an enjoyable drive. It was easy to appreciate the skill and care of the joiners at work, and very informative to inspect and stroke someone else's kitchen ready for installation, partly under dust sheets, with the intermittent sound of machines shaking the stone barn. Overheads kept to a healthy minimum, I thought, no pointless pampering of punters around here. From then on, Tim and his team communicated, cooperated with our builders, calculated, discussed details, built and installed our free standing kitchen in our little cottage, exactly as Tim said they would, in the time we agreed and without hidden extras, despite our awkward schedule. And, just as we thought we had it all organised, I discovered we also needed a new dresser made at a short notice (our Victorian one was far too wide, after all), and a quick text to Tim took care of that too. We even managed to source a recycled slate shelf with exotic pedigree for the big larder. Well, after all the fine coordinating, a heavy snowfall nearly delayed a fitter, but he somehow managed to arrive and worked late, single-handedly hanging cabinets on uneven walls around our old unmatching appliances. Even our builders were nearly impressed; 'Properly made furniture, nice', they said. Our architects, largely responsible for the layout, are looking forward to having a home cooked lunch with us. My husband and I are simply delighted with our kitchen. It looks and feels like we have always had it, it sits comfortably in the 1908 house, and we enjoy using it. I am certain it will age gracefully. I have even been presented with four spare doorknobs and a hefty oak chopping board. The new traditional kitchen was achieved thanks to Tim's company's well oiled manufacture and excellent style of service. Most importantly, no tempers were frayed in the refurbishment of our kitchen. I am enthusiastically recommending them to everyone, saying 'Get one before they grow too successful'.
