Quite often when we are asked to design kitchens there will be an existing cupboard, space or even a new area that needs to have a door on it. For example a walk in larder. Often this does not require us to make a cabinet but the customer would like the front to match the cabinet frame and door style.
In this circumstance we will make a frame and door which can be attached to the aperture so it matches the kitchen units.
There is nothing wrong in using a standard internal house door for this purpose, but we think that matching the externals of these cupboards with the kitchen can bring the whole package together.
We of course can also include shelving and racking for the insides of the cupboards too.
Do remember to ask the builder to nicely plaster and paint the internals so that we do not get a fright when we open the cupboard doors.
The kitchen shown had a couple of these door sets hiding both a pantry and a meter cupboard.
