We love kitchens and harbour a real passion for making them for the clients we work with. We’re often underwhelmed by the standard kitchens available on the market, and we know we can do better. Our aim is to make everything we do unique with a touch of charm and beautiful character. We like to make kitchens that differ from the norm. Here’s how we do it…
Straight from our Hampshire Workshop…
Our small design studio is based in Fulham, London. Behind the scenes, we have a huge workshop in Hampshire full of talented craftspeople who make, from scratch, all of our furniture. Whereas many kitchen companies buy their kitchens in, all we buy is the best quality materials we can find. We use a combination of traditional tools and cutting-edge techniques to make our kitchens before they are handpainted by our expert finishing team. At this point, installation team fit the kitchen in your home. And, because we’ve made it all from scratch, it fits like a glove first time.

Bespoke, Not Standard
Because we make everything from scratch, all of our projects are bespoke. But what does this mean? Well, most kitchen companies either buy or produce their units in a small selection of standard sizes. Because every kitchen space is unique, often they have to cut parts off to make it fit.
At Higham Furniture, we approach things differently. Have an awkward supporting steel in your kitchen? A feature window, perhaps? Maybe you’re in the heart of London with a quirky space? That’s not a problem. Everything at Higham is made to order. We buy in your wood and cut it to the size of your space. We have control over the height, width and depth of all our furniture. The service is truly, genuinely bespoke.
Reducing Costs...
...and passing them on. Putting our customers first is number one on our agenda. At Higham, we’ve made some profound changes to the way we work when compared to other kitchen companies, all with you in mind. Firstly, we don’t have a huge high street showroom. We work on video calls and meetings in our studio, which means we save money on expensive London rent. And because we manufacture our own kitchens and don’t buy them from a ‘middleman’, we can produce kitchens at a very competitive price - it’s like buying directly from a factory. All these cost savings are passed to you, our customer, so you might be surprised at what you can achieve within your budget…

Even though all our kitchens feature the iconic shaker door style, each one is quite unique. As you can see, subtle details like handles, lighting and worktops can make a big difference to the look and feel of your interior. Staying Innovative
Our passion for design means that, naturally, we like to innovate. Alongside prestigious fixture company, Armac Martin, we have designed an exclusive kitchen range featuring Inset Handles available nowhere else on the market. We’ve even developed our paint range alongside The Little Greene Paint Company to provide colours that aren’t just genuinely unique, they’re also designed to stand up to the everyday use your kitchen will experience.
