Cabinet makers and joiners

Higham Furniture is a well-regarded, design-led team of designers and cabinet makers.  We make bespoke, high-quality furniture specialising in kitchens.  We have a high attention to detail in both design and manufacturing and pride ourselves in exceeding our client’s expectations.

We are recruiting to our talented workshop team for both experienced and trainee cabinet makers and joiners.

We will offer training and support so that you can make our bespoke cabinetry.

You will be involved in:

  • Making and fitting dovetail wooden drawers
  • Cutting, assembling and finishing cabinets
  • Assembling and finishing framework and doors
  • Making bespoke pieces such as chimneys, mantles and shelves
  • Dry fitting kitchens prior to dispatch

We work Monday – Thursday 7:45 to 5pm with a shortened day on Friday finishing at 2:30pm.

We are looking for full-time and part-time permanent team workers.

CAD Technician

We are an established and growing company that designs and manufactures bespoke furniture and kitchens and are looking for a creative and practical person to join our team as a CAD technician. The role would be based at our studio in Parsons Green, London, SW6.

Job Description

The role:

  • you will prepare detailed kitchen drawings for client design meetings
  • you will prepare detailed production drawings for manufacture
  • you will provide backup for our sales designers taking calls and researching and providing information to clients
  • you will produce and update quotes
  • you will research and check appliances
  • it is a permanent full-time position which is immediately available
  • the hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm
  • there will be occasional Saturdays (4 per year)

Person specification candidate requirements

  • a background, passion and qualification in interior design
  • a graduate with a relevant qualification
  • excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • strong customer and interpersonal skills
  • demonstrate precise attention to detail
  • experience of reading and interpreting architectural drawings
  • will be able to manage your own workload
  • have at least 1-years’ experience using a CAD package (we use Cabinet Vision)
