This elegant framed Shaker kitchen is defined by its timeless proportions, delicate detailing and thoughtful use of colour and materials. Crafted from painted maple and tulipwood, the cabinetry creates a finer, lighter look that still retains a strong sense of tradition and quality. The carcasses are constructed from lacquered oak veneer ply, offering durability and warmth at the core of the design.
The main kitchen run is painted in Little Greene’s Mushroom, a soft neutral that brings a calm comfort and warmth to the space. The island adds a bolder note in Nether Red, introducing depth without overpowering the room. The wall paint colour create a pale backdrop that enhances the cabinetry and complements the overall palette. The frame-to-ground plinths give the kitchen a freestanding furniture feel, adding to its refined character.
The work surfaces are finished in Calacatta Apuano marble, a striking choice with subtle veining that adds a natural, tactile element to the space.
Lighting from Rose Uniacke has been used to great effect, providing softness while also serving as a statement in its own right. The floor features a three-layer herringbone parquet in hard oak with an extra white finish, offering a beautiful sense of pattern and texture underfoot. At the island, Hay stools sit neatly beneath the marble overhang, their simple lines echoing the calm, considered atmosphere of the space.
