We have done a number of kitchens for listed properties undergoing substantial alterations and under certain rules, they can allow for zero rating of the VAT on a fitted kitchen.
George Osborne announced last week in the 2012 budget that the VAT rate for this kind of improvement would be raised to 20%, so discouraging improvements on listed buildings.
The change comes into effect from 1st October 2012.
