This kitchen has traditional elements, and lots of individual and interesting details, such as the glazed wall cupboards and extra top boxes above the tall cabinets. The project was a joy to work on, thanks to the input and energy from designer Kate Osborne, with whom we had worked with on several previous projects. The kitchen sits within a long, spacious room with a living area and bay windows at one end, and a dining table at the other. The dining/kitchen end looks out onto the garden and terrace, and is flooded with sunshine from the rooflights and full-height glazed doors. The cupboards are our Traditional Shaker style, and the drawers all have scoop handles. We’re particularly happy with the open shelves on the curved end of the island, which has an ebony oak staved raised breakfast bar and butcher block prep area.
