This elegant kitchen features painted maple doors with ply panels, framed in tulipwood and set on lacquered oak veneered ply carcasses for strength and longevity. The cabinetry is finished in Little Greene Obsidian Green 216, bringing depth and character to the room, while quadrant detailing and an inset plinth reinforce the classic Shaker language. Dovetailed oak drawers provide durability throughout, paired with burnished brass hardware from Armac Martin, including Withenshaw knobs and cup pulls.
At the centre of the space sits a raised cook’s table island, topped with solid oak to introduce warmth and contrast against the polished HS Carrara worktops used across the kitchen. Premium appliances were added to the space, including a Lacanche Cluny dual fuel range cooker, a Neff built-in fridge freezer, and a Novy canopy extractor. A French farmhouse ceramic sink is paired with a traditional bridge tap in patinated brass, completing the scheme with a sense of heritage and practicality.
This Tufnell Park kitchen reflects Higham’s commitment to classic design, quality materials and thoughtful detailing. The result is a balanced and enduring space where craftsmanship and everyday functionality sit effortlessly together.
