We have been receiving some great, positive feedback regarding the Higham Furniture modernised shaker design featured in this month’s edition of Homes & Gardens. The handle-less shaker style featured really appears to be catching the imagination of those who see it. If you are a fan of traditional kitchens, but want to avoid having a style that is set too firmly in the past, then this style could work for you. Featuring traditional shaker panels on the doors and end panels, the need for handles has been removed by the creation of discreet finger-holds in the rails and stiles of the doors and drawers, resulting in a look that is clean and uncluttered. This gives the space a fresh, streamlined feel, complimented by the choice of Farrow & Ball
‘Pavilion Grey’ paintwork and a thick ‘Cameo’Corian worktop. Adding chunky legs to the bottom frames however gives the furniture a pleasing freestanding look, harking back to its traditional origins.
