Now that the Christmas festivities are over and we are a week into the New Year, we are starting to get back into the swing of things again. As Tim mentioned in the previous blog we have had a very busy 2010 and the demand for bespoke, tailor-made kitchens and freestanding furniture looks set to continue for us.
We thought the following pointers on some of the kitchen trends of 2011 might be of interest.
Colour – White looks like it will be a popular choice for the units this year and neutral colour palates will remain a favourite option.
As features that enhance the contemporary look of the more traditional style kitchens, we are excited about this. They can create a nice crisp, clean look to a kitchen when combined with, for example, black granite or light corian worktops.
Materials – Natural materials are still a strong, long lasting trend.
Do visit our workshop to see our wonderful choice of wood for yourself, such as Oak, Walnut, Maple, Ash and Tulipwood.
Storage and Appliances – keeping appliances integrated and out of sight seems to be a common requirement and looks like it will stay that way. As for storage – uncluttered remains the buzzword!
Good to hear – we enjoy seeing photos of our finished bespoke storage units, from larders and dressers to base and wall units, complete with wooden internal accessories.
Hope this has been of interest to some of you. If you cannot find what you are looking for on our website or on our blog, feel free to give us a shout and we can chat about your requirements further.
