We thought you might be interested in another of our recent kitchen designs, featured this month in Homes & Gardens’ ‘Dream Kitchens’ supplement.

This farmhouse-style, shaker kitchen was installed last year in Petersfield. While simple in the number of units involved, the furniture cuts an imposing figure with it’s chunky legs and carved corbels. Extending the worktop past the ends of the units on both the island and the range elevation is a cunning solution to space issues, providing a greater work surface without having to compromise on floor space. In a kitchen of limited size this can be vital to stop the room feeling smaller than it really is. The honed black granite worktop compliments the range, extractor and splashback well and creates a nice contrast with the paintwork in Farrow & Ball Estate Eggshell ‘Parma Grey’. Finally, placing the sink on the island not only creates a practical feature that helps with the versatility of the worktops on all units, it also gives the kitchen a pleasing symmetry by lining up centrally with the range.
Hopefully there are some elements here that have grabbed you and will help inspire your own kitchen project. We would love to hear from you if you would like to talk through the possibilities. Our contact details can be found here.
