Integrating appliances can sometimes cause areas of dead space to be introduced to the design. In this handleless shaker kitchen our client wanted side-by-side undercounter ovens. Where most companies would have added in a blanking panel below the ovens to build up the framework, creating a large area of wasted space behind, we added in removable oak drawers. These drawers are handy to store baking trays and racks, but can also simply be used as trays if your dining table is in another room.
This client had chosen reclaimed oak floors throughout and therefore the introduction of the oak drawers created a pleasing tie-in between the floor and cabinetry. We are of course also able to hand paint the drawers like the rest of the kitchen if you would prefer your drawers to blend in.
