The kitchen combines dark oak cabinetry with the dramatic veining of Brachot Calacatta Viola porcelain. The Planton-style slab doors have a fine 5mm raised border finished with an oak edge in Rubio “Dark Roast”. The result is a rich, architectural look that brings depth and warmth to the room.
The Calacatta Viola worktops and splashback form the centrepiece of the design. Used in a natural finish with a 45mm mitred edge, the porcelain wraps the working areas and continues up the wall to create a striking, continuous surface. Behind the Rangemaster Elise Luxe range cooker, the book-matched splashback creates a strong focal point, with the veining mirrored to bring balance, movement and drama to the cooking zone.
A matching stone shelf runs along the wall, offering space for ceramics, glassware, artwork and everyday objects. Above the range, a bespoke chimney-style extractor housing conceals the Novy Canopy Essence 829, giving the cooking area a calm, integrated feel while adding architectural presence to the room.
The U-shaped layout makes excellent use of the 17 sqm kitchen space. Tall integrated Siemens refrigeration and storage sit neatly along one side, while the sink run beneath the garden-facing window brings natural light into the main working area. The peninsula provides space for informal seating, food preparation and gathering, with open shelving at the end adding a softer, more relaxed detail.
Patinated brass and dark brushed brass accents continue throughout the scheme. Hendel & Hendel Austin Profile handles in Dark Brushed Brass create a slim, elegant line across the dark oak cabinetry, while the Quooker Fusion Round Pro3 tap and Bibury Charlbury rinse spray add warmth at the sink. The antique brass trim of the Rangemaster and the brass wall lights tie the palette together.
