A traditionally styled kitchen with a cheeky splash of colour on the island… Our client had spent quite a few years working on ideas for their forever home and had originally considered pale, low-key shades of cream. However, our design team suggested making a bit of a statement with a bold colour for the island. Thankfully, everyone agreed that Farrow & Ball’s Green Smoke was the perfect choice – it’s a classic, positive shade and adds definition to the colour scheme – along with the black Everhot 120i heat-storage cooker and the black glass front of the Fisher & Paykel combi-microwave. There’s also a utility room behind the main kitchen, so all the laundry equipment can be hidden, with room for extra storage as well – including a coat cupboard and a space for the ironing board.
