This magnificent kitchen is pulled together by its brave blue colour scheme combined with natural finishes. Owner and interior designer Kate knew that Tim Higham, who designed this project, would have to deal with the logistics of differing ceiling heights, a need for copious amounts of storage and a pitched roof with Velux windows. Kate wanted a traditional kitchen that would work seamlessly with the rest of her home, but which included contemporary touches and natural oak details. The available ceiling height in this kitchen meant that wall cabinets, inspired by American-style interiors, reached close to the ceiling and provided that extra quantity of storage space. And because all our cabinetry is custom-made, we were able to specify slanted backs for the wall cabinets above the range cooker to enable them to fit snugly and perfectly against the sloping roof.
