Symmetrical elements are important in large kitchen spaces … without symmetry a large space can look slightly disordered. Happily, in this layout, our designer was able to create a design that not only dramatically improved their outdated kitchen, it added a good amount of storage space as well. The extra layer of glazed cupboards above the fridge-freezer and larder is perfect for special occasion glassware and china.  The island is positioned opposite the cooking area – which is always an ergonomically desirable plan, allowing prep and serving to be efficient and seamless. The kitchen is filled with light, thanks to the large skylight, and the French Grey Pale colour choice for the perimeter cabinetry; the island is in Scree, both by Little Greene.
