Symmetrical elements are important in large kitchen spaces. Without symmetry, a large space can look slightly disordered. Happily, in this layout, our designer was able to devise a solution that not only dramatically improved our client’s outdated kitchen, but also provided plenty of storage space. The extra layer of glazed cupboards above the fridge-freezer and larder is perfect for special occasion glassware and china. The island is positioned opposite the cooking area, ensuring prep and serving are efficient and seamless. The kitchen is filled with light, thanks to the large skylight, and the French Grey Pale cabinetry. The island is in Scree, by Little Greene.
